MINISTRIES

Our goal is to spread the truth of the gospel and we believe that GOD has ordained each and everyone of us to minister his word to the nations. As such, we have established the following ministerial departments to help us achieve that goal:

Student Membership
EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

The Education Department strives to equip the Body of Christ of every age with an expanding knowledge of our father, Yahweh Elohim and Christ Jesus our Lord by:

 

  • Recognizing education as a valuable ministry within the congregation.

  • Researching, developing and using a Christ-centered and rounded annual curriculum as a guide for both teachers and students.

  • Recruiting and training Sunday School teachers.

  • Sourcing Christian resources to aid the ministry.  

  • Developing and implementing strategies to use Sunday School as an evangelical tool.

  • Implementing plans and programs that minister to the ‘total man’ (socially, educationally, emotionally, financially, and psychologically).

  • Expanding the Adult Literacy Program.

  • Expanding email/web-based training.

MEN OF INTEGRITY

The Men of Integrity Ministry is designed to support and encourage men and boys in their Christian walk and to encourage male participation in all church activities.  This ministry develops, trains, and provides a wholesome climate for men to mature in Christ and exemplify progress toward a Christ-centered life. Programs and activities are planned to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the men.  This ministry also plays an integral part in fund-raising efforts to support the church and outreach initiatives.

WOMEN OF EXCELLENCE    

The Women of Excellence Ministry is a community of Godly women who have  pledged to combine hearts and hands together to create an environment where all women can be free to excel, free to grow to a matured level in Christ, and free to discover their God-given purpose and  realize it. The goals of the ministry are:

  • to develop and implement programs and activities to exercise our women in faith;

  • to prepare the women for ministry in the local church, wider community, and the world, as well as to live victorious Christian lives, despite whatever challenges they face;

  • to foster and develop leadership and stewardship skills sets among  the women; and

  • to equip women to identify and fulfill their calling. 

The Women of Excellence Ministry works closely with other auxiliaries to collaborate outreach, social, soul-building, and fund-raising activities in keeping with the corporate goals and objectives of the church.

YOUTH MINISTRY

The Youth Department exists as a ministry of excellence for preparing our youth for the fulfillment of their role as leaders and Ambassadors for God.  Each and every member of this department will function as concerned, skilled, youth leaders to carry out the vision of the department and enable our youth to live Godly and fulfilling lives.This department plans and executes a full range of balanced activities geared towards helping youths to live victorious Christian lives and to teach them how to overcome challenges.

CARE MINISTRY

Motto: Chosen…Anointed…Righteous…Effective…

Vision: Chosen and Anointed by God for Righteous and Effective Service!

Mission:

  • Prayer – provide an atmosphere within the church for God’s wisdom, power and anointing to be continually manifested and provide opportunities for development of individuals and communal prayer life.

  • Provisions – assist in taking care of the physical needs of the church and persons within the community & the world so that they may see Christ in us through this work.

  • Praise – Giving God honor and glory through service & developing a higher level of praise in the church.

  • Privacy – Embody a reputation of trust and confidence in assisting all persons in need of a listening ear or guidance through God’s wisdom.

  • Purpose – providing spiritual food for the soul to enhance the development of God’s children into the fulfillment of their God-given purpose (moving to their higher levels in God).

OUTREACH MINISTRY

The goal for the Outreach Ministry is trifold: to extend BTCGI’s reach with the gospel of Christ to the undeserved of the immediate and surrounding communities through service and giving; to deepen our emphasis on the power of education through community based programs that teach children about Christ and minister to their needs; and to increase assistance to orphans in Africa.

PRAYER BAND

Watch Word & Declaration of Faith: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”  Psalm 27:1.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The mission of the Prayer Band is to serve the body of Christ locally and around the world by praying for their needs and requests.

  • Praying at altar calls.

  • Praying with shut-in saints.

  • Praying for individuals as requested.
